Our Annual Events

The Foundation is proud to bring four annual events to Stanly County. These signature events raise critical funds for important resources in our community.

Stanly County Dancing with the Stars raises funds to support the careful work of the Butterfly House Children’s Advocacy Center.
Play Fore the Cure funds are used exclusively to provide mammograms for people in our community who cannot afford this crucial screening.
The Outdoorsman’s Bonanza raises funds for the Foundation’s endowment. These funds are used for biannual grants given to Atrium Health Stanly for programs and projects that promote a healthier, stronger local community.
The Cash Calendar supports the important work of the John P Murray Community Care Clinic providing primary medical care to folks in our community between the ages of 18 and 64 without health insurance, along with access to chronic disease education and medication.

Why I Give.

I give to SHF because of their dedication to positively impacting the health of our community.

SHF provides a grant for our diabetes education classes for patients who are unable to attend due to financial barriers. Patients have expressed how thankful they are for the grant as it was the only way they were able to attend classes which helped them to improve their blood sugar.
SHF also funds our annual Diabetes Walk and Health Fair, a free community event to celebrate living healthily with diabetes!

When giving to SHF there is no question what happens to your donations- it changes lives in Stanly County.
